The General Dynamics F-16 was originally built as a demonstration aircraft.  What began as the USAF Lightweight Fighter Program, developed after four NATO countries sought a replacement for their aging F-104s, into the Air Combat Fighter Program in April 1974.  In December 1979.  This extremely agile aircraft is the favorite of the world famous “Thunderbirds” aerial demonstration team, which is currently in service with numerous air forces worldwide.  It is a fighter pilot’s dream.
